New Flightradar24 Receivers Activated in April 2016

In April we tracked 4,685,054 flights, made possible by our global network of receivers. We activated over 120 new receivers in April, helping us add new areas of coverage on six continents. (more…)

New Flightradar24 Receivers Activated in March 2016

New Flightradar24 Receivers Activated in February 2016

We activated over 200 new receivers in February, expanding coverage in China, Australia, Russia, and the United States. Our newly activated receivers also helped expand our MLAT coverage in the US, UK, South Africa, and Japan. (more…)

New Flightradar24 Receivers for January 2016

We spent much of January activating new receivers in locations that expand our coverage area. Our major focus in 2016 will be increasing coverage in Africa and we’re off to a good start with 12 new receivers activated there last month. (more…)

New Flightradar24 Receivers for the First Two Weeks of January 2016

It’s a new year and we have a new map of freshly activated ADS-B receivers. We’ve started the year off strong with receivers in new countries and a greatly expanded coverage area. We’ve also strengthened MLAT coverage in a few areas allowing us to track even more flights. (more…)

All of Our New Flightradar24 Receivers in 2015

The numbers are in! During 2015 we activated 2,031 new Flightradar24 ADS-B receivers. With those new receivers our 2015 end-of-year total number of receivers is just a few receivers shy of 9,000. (more…)

New Flightradar24 Receivers for the Month of November

We activated almost 200 new Flightradar24 receivers in November. We added multiple receivers on 6 continents, including remote areas such as Greenland and the South Pacific. Our biggest increase in coverage came in the United States where we activated over 50 new receivers. We concentrated on areas with previously limited coverage, increasing our coverage in the central, western, and southeastern parts of the country. Many of the new receivers in the United States also increased our MLAT coverage, allowing us to track even more flights. (more…)

New Flightradar24 Receivers for the Last Two Weeks of October

From Vardoe, Norway, to Rio Gallegos, Argentina, in the final two weeks of October, we activated nearly 100 new receivers. We expanded our coverage in various places, including United States, Argentina, and Iran. We also enhanced our MLAT coverage in China, Iran, Brazil, and the United Kingdom. We also expanded our oceanic coverage with new receivers in the Azores.

New Flightradar24 Receivers for the First Two Weeks of October

We activated nearly 100 new receivers in the first two weeks of October, improving our coverage all over the world. In South America, we grew our coverage area in Chile and Argentina with the three new receivers south of Buenos Aires and four new receivers in Brazil. In North America we grew our coverage area in the western half of the United States. In September, we added a new receiver on Greenland’s east coast and during the past two weeks we activated a new receiver on the west coast, expanding our transatlantic coverage. (more…)
